WHAT WE PRAY

 

HOW TO PRAY
THE HOLY ROSARY

1. On the crucifix, make the Sign of the Cross and pray the Apostles' Creed. Before the Holy Rosary, you may also pray the Act of Contrition.

​

2. On the next bead, pray the Our Father.

​

3. On the next three (3) beads, pray a Hail Mary for each.

​

4. On the next bead, pray the Glory Be.

​

5. Say the first mystery and pray the Our Father.

​

6. On the next ten (10) beads, pray a Hail Mary for each.

​

7. On the next bead, pray the Glory Be followed by the Fatima Prayer. 

​

8. For the next mysteries, repeat steps five (5) to seven (7).

​

9. Afterwards, pray the Hail, Holy Queen and the Final Prayer. You may also pray the Litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary before the Final Prayer.

​

10. Make the Sign of the Cross.

Act of Contrition

My God, I am sorry for my sins with all my heart.

In choosing to do wrong and failing to do good,

I have sinned against you

whom I should love above all things. 

I firmly intend, with your help,

to do penance, to sin no more,

and to avoid whatever leads me to sin.

Our Savior Jesus Christ suffered and died for us.

In his name, my God, have mercy.

Apostles' Creed

I believe in God, the Father almighty,

Creator of heaven and earth, 
and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord. 
He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit

and born of the Virgin Mary. 
He suffered under Pontius Pilate, 
was crucified, died and was buried. 
He descended into the dead, 
On the third day he rose again. 
He ascended into heaven, 
and is seated at the right hand of the Father. 
He will come again to judge the living and the dead. 
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church,

the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins,

the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting.
Amen.

Our Father

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name;

Thy kingdom come;

Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

 Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses

as we forgive those who trespass against us; 
and lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from evil.
Amen.
 

Hail Mary

Hail Mary, full of Grace,  the Lord is with you.
Blessed are you among women, 
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, 
pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
 

Glory Be

Glory be to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit;

As it was in the beginning, is now, and will be, forever.
Amen.

Fatima Prayer 

O My Jesus, forgive us our sins, 
save us from the fires of hell 
and lead all souls to heaven, 
especially those who need most of your mercy. 

Hail, Holy Queen 

Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of mercy, 
hail our life, our sweetness, and our hope. 
To you do we cry, poor banished children of Eve,

to you do we send up our sighs, 
mourning and weeping in this valley of tears.

Turn then, most gracious advocate, 
your eyes of mercy toward us; 
and after this our exile show unto us

the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus, 
O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.

Pray for us, O holy Mary, Mother of God.

R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
 

Final Prayer

Let us pray:
O God, whose only-begotten Son, 

by His life, death, and resurrection, 
has purchased for us the rewards of eternal life;

grant we beseech Thee, 
that meditating upon these mysteries

of the most holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 
we may imitate what they contain and obtain

what they promise through the same Christ our Lord.

At kang Hesukristong Anak nang Bugtung a Ginu tamu.
Pengagli king upaya ning Espiritu Santo,
mibait kang Santa Mariang Birhen;
linasa lalam nang upayang Poncio Pilato; 
mepaku king krus, mete at mikutkut;
tinipa Ya karing mete, king katlung aldo sinubli yang mebie, pepaitas Ya banua makalukluk wanan ning Dios Ibpang mayupayang tutu.
Ibat karin magbalik Ya naman keti ban mukum karing mabie ampon mengamate.
Sasalpantaya ku king Espiritu Santo, king Santa Iglesia Katolika, king pamisamak ding santo, king pangapatawad da ring kasalanan, king pangasubli rang mie ding mete at king bie alang angga.
Amen.

Ibpa Mi

Ibpa mi, atsu ka banua, misamban ya ing lagyu mu.

Datang kekami ing kayarian mu,

mipamintuan ing lub mu keti sulip anti banua.

Ing kakanan mi king aldo-aldo,

ibie mu kekami king aldo ngeni.

Ampon ipatauad mu kekami ring sala mi keka.

Anti ing pamamatauad mi, karing mikasala kekami.

Manga emu ke ipaisawul king tuksu

nune ikabus mu kami king sablang marok.

Bapu Maria

Bapu Maria mipnu ka king grasya,

ing Ginung Dios atsu keka.

Nuan ka karing sablang babai,

nuan ya pa naman ing bunga ning atian mu I Jesus.

Santa Mariang Indu ning Dios,
